I have a 289 block in my garage but not sure if it would be better to keep it stock due to the condition. Also have DJM beams and flip kit awaiting spring time install.

Ya know... there is a bit of a collectors market for a clean low mileage stock truck.
But at the end of the day... if you plan to keep it... you should just make it your own and have some fun with it.
