Check it out. i found this tonight on autotrader.com and it fits what im looking for. From what ive seen of it, even though it isnt much, i like what i see.

Im gonna call the guy after work tomorrow, and try to find out more about it. I just want to get an idea of what you all think about it.

Thanks,

peanut

Maybe its just me, but that seems to be really cheap. I thought diesel were going for a bit more these days. Even for a gas truck, that seems way cheap. Any issues?

That's one hell of a price! I'm not a big fan of the power stroke myself though.

not that i know of...like i said, i have to give the guy a call tomorrow...so we shall see

man that is realy cheap. like they say "you get what you pay for".

i thought it was 12,000 until i looked closer. Wow thats cheap, especially for only 188,xxx.

Take it to a good shop and have it checked out before you get it, you can sink alot of money in a basketcase diesel.

On the plus side the long bed and crew cab may be making it hard to sell in that area and they are wanting it gone.

Yo,
Yeah it looks like a good deal. Have it checked over thouroughly, that price is a little suspicious. But at the same time, if it is new york, it might be hard to sell up there.

im way ahead of you

don't NY vehicles tend to rust quicker too? might wanna take a look at the frame and what not for cancer.

that was the first thing i was going to look at...NY seems to use a hell of a lot more salt than we do in jersey (well where i work anyway)

so with any luck its all surface rust so i can take most of it off then hit it with some POR15...either that or get the whole underside coated with spray on liner

It can't hurt to look at it, worst case you spend some time and come away with nothing, best case you get a decent diesel truck for a great price. I do know the 7.3 is a workhorse.......

Vehicles that have spent most of thier lives down near "the city" (IKA the hell hole) are usually not too bad in the rust/rot department.

The price is right for that in just about any condition. It just depends on how much it will cost after the sale. If it needs a couple grand in work it would still be a good price, but would that be acceptable to you?

SOMETHING is up with it for that price. No title, the guys cousin left it in his yard; he saw a porcupine sucked into the turbo and hasn't started it since--something. There's a family of ostriches living in it. It's still worth it for someone that can weather whatever pops up in the immediate future--provided it isn't a show-stopper paperwork problem.
