Ratchet strapped to the frame with like 4 straps run between the box and "frame" of the box hooked to the frame of the truck hold it on good enough to make a 40 mile trip?

What's in the box?

will the sides come out of the stakes? if so, i'd lay them down and ratchet strap them to the flatbet. less wind resistance that way and im sure you'd make it 40 miles.

Nothings in the box...im not 100% sure what it weighs but we put it on there with a bobcat with forks...so i dont think its that heavy.

Yeah, ill get some of those 3500lb yellow straps....i just dont want the damn thing coming off/loose going down the road. Im taking it to my dads house to weld up some mounts for it...so it should be a one way deal with the straps.

The sides would come off...but theyve prolly been on there since 1950 something (the box came off a 51 F1) my plan is to cut them down considerably, and there is like litrally 30 thousand bolts holding them on.

Short strap it to the frame, no wrap arounds of the entire bed, and you should be good.:)shady

Yeah i wasnt going to go around the entire box, just at the frame, around the 2x12's that the box sits on, and then back to the truck frame.....its hard to explain..but im not going to go over the whole box.

later,
Dustin
