my friend and i are gonna be hitting up some junk yards on thursday and i have a 94 ford ranger std cab short bed 2wd. now i have a full bench seat and wannna swap to bucket seats what exactly do i need and some ideas for parts i should also pickup would be awesome i just want some ideas for things to get

If you get 4 door Explorer seats, you'll have to swap the brackets. You can just get buckets from a Ranger too, if they're available. My 94 B4000 had buckets and a console just like my old Ex had.

An overhead console from an Explorer would be cool too.

Pull some seat brackets from a STANDARD CAB ranger. then find the seats you want (Explorer, ranger, see the what seats fit section in the tech library). then put the 60/40 seat tracks on the seats and bolt into your truck.
you might need to drill holes into the floor, but you should be able to tell where to drill.
I just went through this process with my truck a few days ago, and the holes were pre drilled and had rubber caps in them. all i had to do was thread the holes and bolt the seats in.

Quick tip. I would put the ranger seat tracks on the seats you want before you leave the junk yard, because they will charge you extra for the separate seat tracks. at least thats how the pick and pull in my area works; saved me 20 bucks!

Overall, buckets are definately an uprade over the bench. soon ill be installing a center console from an explorer as well.

Good luck! :icon_thumby:
