Most Ford V8 Engines have the Upper Inlet on the Passenger side and Lower Outlet on the Drivers Side. Chevy radiators are opposite. There are some exceptions to this rule.
both reverse and standard rotation water pumps have the same inlet/outlet hose connections in the same locations. I used the stock '91 4.0 lower hose and an upper from a '87-'93 Mustang 5.0.
Unless you use a 5.0 Explorer front dress (timing cover/water pump), you will need to relocate your rad forward more within the core support.
