i learned never to critisize until you see the finished product, cuz primer looks ugly until you see the finished coat....who knows, it might look cooler than whatever you drive.......definantly looks capable...

little history, holshot, myself, and JYdog wheel together and at a event in sept holshot won a trophy for ugleist rig, JY goal is to win it next year and he has no plans right now to paint it, its like 5 colors :haha:

and the fenders are silver/gray factory paint, not primer

we did it twice, had to remove the support from donor truck to put on the other truck so we drilled two trucks and each hole got drilled twice

ya I did the same thing basically, 'cept I had to put the donor truck back together with my old parts when I was done lol.

Say you've done your fair share of drilling out spot welds. it only been five trucks that you've done

got the coils installed last nite and modified the buckets to work with them. I beleive tem to be 2 inch lift 77 F150 springs, but not sure. They were on my D44 when i bought it from the junkyard. They are softer and give about the same lift as 6" RBV springs. Also built new lower mounting plates to attach the larger coils to the TTB beams.

Try taking the window cowl off.........

I considered doing that to fix the rust, but realized I could do it all without taking it off. Lets just hope my hood never opens while going down the highway.

yeah and then reusing it on another truck! no really guys its not as hard as you'd think if you use a center punch and a spot weld cutter.its basicly a small hole saw with a spring loaded centering tip.it does always seem though that you forget one or two when you try to separate it.another tool that really helps is a heavy duty paint scraper you can hammer between the sheets to remove the last bits or hidden spot welds without distorting it too bad
