Junk yard ranger going bigger

The rims are on backwards and I don't think those are what he is going to run either.

Geeze....guys you need to leave him alone with how big he made it...it's his anyway.

you are exactly right I am not gonna be running those, they are only roll around's here is a picture of the tires I am gonna be running. the roll around's are only 38 tall the tractors are 49 tall

i drove right by or truck on the way home lol if it is still there.

WOW, it really suprises me how many people just post without actually reading the thread. So you'll be runnin the 14.9-24's Let me know how they work in the mud because I have a buddy that want's to run those exact tires (loader tread) on an explorer and I keep talking him out of it because they're heavy and the tread isn't as good as an r-1. Also, can you get some pics of the wheel brakes I REALLY wanna see this setup!

the brakes were all ready on it when I got them. I will get some more pics in a few days ..... I know a few running them and from what they tell me, they pull better then a bogger but not as good as an R1 I can't complain I only paid $50 for all 4 tires

HOLY LIFT BLOCKS BATMAN...... your putting ladder bars on the front as well right? I cant imagine what those driveshafs would do if you caught some grip coming up outta a hole.

Holy crap! I haven't checked up on this forever! Looks real good! So are you going to put ladder bars on it at all? Haha just kiddin around! I still think it needs a solid paint color but it still looks amazing with Mia matched panels! Hahahahaha.

with the stock 4.0 I do not have enough to need any sort of ladder bar on the front yet ...... when the time comes I do put a "larger" motor in it, I will add some sort of "ladder bar" if I don't 4 link it before that I change my mind like I change my underwear Daily :yahoo::icon_surprised::shok::icon_bounceblue:

Its not the 4.o which is going to cause a need for ladder bars its the few hundred pounds of tire each and a giant lift block...

another thing about the front axle you said it was a reverse direction unit and you just flipped it? Isnt that just going to drive the truck on the wrong side of your ring gear (coast) I know when guys flip a 9 inch to build a front axle they have to get reverse direction gears made for the Hi9

The GM Military axle is a straight cut gear High pinion Passenger side drop, when you flip the axle to ford side then spin the chunk 180 deg making it low pinion converts it to standard rotation .... may have done this and it works it is proven the axles I have were under a friends truck before mine, and he was running a mated 205 with a standard rotation T136 (2.5 ton )case behind it

There is ladder bars in the rear if you can not look at the pictures and see. .... There is NO block anywhere in the truck, it is solid perch ..... and the front is on a 5 inch perch ... As you can see I am NOT scared to use the welder, and if it is proven to need some sort of ladder bar on the front, I will add on, until then I'm not

This concerns me. I understand you're on a budget, and it's a strictly offroad mudtruck, But the steering is un-acceptable. Please save up some dough and go hydro. Or at the very least get a one peice arm that bolts to the knuckle. I'm not trying to be an ass about it, I'm genuinely concerned.

Hydro is in the works and I agree about the steering ...it was like that when I got the axles all I did was make the cross over bar ...... I have a feeling I am not gonna be able to turn once I put the big tires on .... I figure with in 60 days of completion it will be getting hydro
