I really like your set-up and truck in general but I seriously think that you should give ol' "many colors" a rattle can job. It just needs some paint IMO. Other thanthat, can't wait to see the updates.

X( don't hate on trucks of many colors

No that's not what I'm doing...my uncle has a truck that we call "Ol' 14 Colors" not one body panel or door or part of the bed are the same color hahaha!!!! But I think that JunkYardRanger's truck would look titties with a single paint color or a two tone...rattle can or professional it don't matter.

I named it "Y Paint It" lol I might paint it but highly dought it ... it is strictly a mud truck only ...Thanks for the complements

thanks ... should have more pics of the tear down by the weekend

hahahaha I stand corrected...the name says it all!!!!:icon_rofl: Well now that the axles actually show up I can't wait to see them put in!!! They look BEEFY!!

whats your plan for the front axle? (since its pass. side drop)

I am glad someone noticed that the front end is set up originally for pass side drop. The GM military axles are actually a reverse rotation axle. They spin backwards. A special Transfer case is required to make it spin properly. If you flip it to ford side and also flip the chunk in the housing it will actually spin properly, So that's what I will be doing ... The Guy I got the axle from already had it flipped, so I all have to do is build my perches and put it under the truck

Thats going to be an even naster looking truck. Looks like a great project keep the pics coming. Can't wait to see your progress!

I wanna see a midget get in it

Ew, front-loaders? Why not run top-loaders? Those shafts may be a bit stronger, but tt least you'd have better gear reduction and likely a better pinion angle with that much lift....

I am using front loaders cause I got them on trade for my tires and wheels that were under the truck ... I would have prefered top loaders but for the price I couldn't beat it plus I am gonna be running a NP 200 behind my current case for drive shaft angles and gear reduction
