Oh, thats the other thing, it was a 4x4. I didn't think the 2.3L's came in 4x4, and you needed to ge the v-6 for that. At least I've never seen a 2.3L 4x4 before.

Not common but you could get a 4x4 4cyl. Transmissions are a trick to find though.

I know of truck with the drop down light. Its for the reddish color interior. How much are you willing to spend?

If this is directed towards me, I am not really interested. I got mine on a whim that maybe I could get it to work... unless I find a more compact clock it isn't going to go in.

my '89 chassis was 4x4 and 2.3, that's how I converted to 4x4... not common but they are out there.

Dealers throw us a curve ball sometimes. I thought Ford had brought back the High Boy when I saw a new Super Duty with a High Boy badge. Turns out it's a dealer installed package from a dealer here.

I once had an 89 2wd ranger custom with a 4cyl 5spd. White with black painted bumpers, black rubber floor with a red vinyl interior......... had no options except am/fm cassette and a rear bumper.......... It was called the North West Edition.

I don't think they were.

I know the rear bumper wasn't. But given that it's perfectly legal to drive down the road in a vehicle that has the floor pan so rotted out the driver can look down and see the road in Montana, it would not surprise me to hear that so many trucks of that vintage are running around sans rear bumper that one could mistake it as having been optional.

As for Michigan, I dunno.

from what I've heard, it did use to be an option, not sure my truck came with a rear bumper since the one on it when I got it was custom... Allan will probably know
