hey all,

new to the site obviously, but lets get right into it. bought an 87 ranger stx last summer, decided to fix it up this summer. heres where im at so far

stock 2.9 blew last month and i pulled it.
was going to swap in a 95 ranger v6 4.0 engine, but my friend didnt agree, so im instead going to go for the much more impressive 351W out of an 83 bronco, not only becuase its way cooler but because the engine has been rebuilt.

today im pulling the rear axle, and i have just talked to a guy who is willing to sell me an explorer 8.8 3L73 thats still in the vehicle. unfortunetly i do not know the year or code of the axle at the moment, but ill find out tonight when i check it out. he wants 350$.

just thought i would give the community an idea of where im at... i would post a pic but for some reason i dont know how lol

SURE DO!!! but it will be awesome. i just bought a 98 373 8.8 explorer rear and im getting ready to put that in...tomorrow we are pulling the 351 from the 83 bronco, i cant wait. heres she is

ok in photobucket click your picture.
on your picture right click and select properties.
highlight location, copy it, and then go back to your post.
click the little icon that looks like mountain and sun (it says insert image)
paste what you just copyed into it.
