Juck Feep

So did you complete this job yet adsm08? Or is it still giving you the business?

On the older grand cherokee's (zj) the drain exits into the box section so it's not accessable from below. What I did was measure where the drain passes through the firewall and drilled a hole in the plastic enclosure on the inside of the vehicle. I cleaned out the drain and put a rubber plug in the hole, it's now easy to clean the crap out. Just as a side comment, the drains for the sunroof on the explorer go into the rocker panels, that's why explorer rocker panels rust out.

I heard elsewhere that a while ago some Fiat people came over here to look at the product line and when they saw the Commander they said "Chi inventò questo pezzo di escremento?"

That would be the entire product line based on that chassis.

The Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler Escremento. At dealers near you.

All the new Jeep Grand Cherokee's have a factory AGM battery.........$190........CHA CHING.....Says the battery guy!

Fixed it for you.
There is a reason why Fiats haven't been sold in America for about 25 years.

I know Crown Vic's have interesting oil filters, but I think the 5.7 HEMI takes the cake... It can be reached, but how to extract it without covering everything around it with oil..?
The trick on Crown Vics and Town Cars, my dad used to have a Town Car, is to turn the steering wheel about a half turn (to the right as I recall but you can figure it out) and that gets the tie rod linkage out of the way of the filter.

JohnnyO: there is a Fiat dealer about 30 minutes from me. No disrespect. I had no Idea either till I moved here lol.

This is the puke-hose on the XJ's A/C box:

Was having the similar damp-carpet issue, but no sloshing noises. Took the hose off, and ran about 8" of wire into the hole. No blockage felt, so maybe there's a leak inside?

I plan to put a longer hose on, one that extends down farther than the top of the subframe rail.

I'm almost done. I got the trans back in, took the dash apart and cleared the air plenum of foreign debris. In all 85 cents and a heart attack's worth of those McDonald's Monopoly stickers. And a bobby pin.

Rat, try taking the hose off and see what happens.

I would really love to get my hands on the jokers who designed the XK bodies. Once I can completely close the left one that is.

Did that before using the wire in it. Slips off, no clamp. That's why I plan to run a longer hose, to get it off the frame rail; probably use 5/8" heater-hose.

Tundras and the SUV relative with the TRD packages are supposed to be a riot too. Gotta pull two skidplates to get at the filter... one is pretty big.

I remember Tundras... Two plates... Literally took me probably 20 minutes more than any other oil change just due to the fact that those plates needed to be removed, and then put back...

Fiat builds some awesome cars. They never sent the good stuff over here though but with the level of competition I can't blame them. American's wouldn't have paid for the good stuff.

Easy fix if it was your own truck though, personally I would pitch them.
