Josh40601's Build Thread. (D-ranged)

How in the hell does one bend centering pins!?!?!

Glad you made it through and thanks for the photos!

i sheered one in 3 pieces, and bent the other one into somewhat of an S shape

Nice trip report. Makes me want to drag my shit out there to see how bad it is. lol.

It's too bad it got beat up so bad, but it makes for an awesome story, and absolutely an experience you'll never forget.

A strategically place traction bar would've saved your driveshafts and your spring pins. With a wheelbase that long, its necessary. Kyle killed his driveshaft following me a couple years ago. Damn trail limos. :thefinger:

sounds ruff... still can't believe you're gonna stop wheeling the bee!
you did however give me a new background pic.

its not bad. I mean, its an awesome rock trail, just broke stupid shit. Plus, this is a trail made for a jeep on 35s. If i would have been with a group that had known the trail, i would have been fine. When i hung out with the Extreme Offroad guys, i was rocking the trail.

Here are some pics after she is all rinsed off. Maybe not as bad as Kyle's, but way worse than i ever intended....

I've toasted 2 as well, thats just how us 'fullsize' mini truck guys roll :thefinger:

Honestly, with as low pinion as the 9" is and with the wheelbase we have, everything should be skidded!

The bed is beat up pretty good, but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. My bed is nearly just as bad. The twisted up top rail sucks. Everything else could probably be knocked out a bit. Lucky for you, it looks like you didn't crack any paint. My paint cracks at the creases of my dents. When I wax it I end up with paint chips on my towel. haha.

D is on a truck. Should be here in the KY in about a week

that's... not a good update. you fail sir! lol.

what's it cost to ship a truck from coast to coast? (basically)

seems like a good update to me! What the hell do you want me to say?? hahaha

Ran me exactly 1000 bucks

Not as much as I expected actually. Dang army wanted $1900 to pick up my buddies yota in Southaven MS and take it to Washington state. He found some private company to do it cheaper but never told me the price.

Haha. I love going and looking at first posts.. See the original pics and plans. Gotta say, your truck has changed a lot! And I'm a fan of what it is now! Look at these pics! Lol

yea, I used Vehiport. They were the best priced all around. As soon as you say the truck is lifted, the price goes through the roof.

Yea, I look back everynow and then. Its crazy to see how much the truck has changed within less than a year. Now my focus is going to be to get it looking good and driving good again. The X is my toy now

I put the chrome grille back on the Ranger and thought i would snap some pics. I don't really drive the gal now as she gets pretty shitty mileage, but she is here at the house and i take her out every now and then.
