Josh40601's Build Thread. (D-ranged)

Nope, bought a house and moved the shop north. I'm in sebree, ky. 20 minutes north of John (Madisonville), 30 minutes south of Henderson, 45 minutes south of Evansville. Close to the intersection of the WK and pennyrile parkway...

Bumper version 2

Goal was to drive this pile to the gas station today. That didn't happen. My double flare tool is ****ing garbage and basically wasted all the time flaring the brake lines. 3 fittings are leaking... I did get the air intake installed, but now the ac line is not going in all the way. Really bummed about the Brake lines. I even broke the tool. Worked great for the first 3 fittings, then after that all went to shit. Don't buy the OTC Stinger kit.

Also Rick and I chatted about the truck and he helped describe what some of the plugs are that are not installed yet. Still have some more little things to handle, and the damn brake lines again, then hopefully I can spin this thing around and do some fab work on the rear. Dad still isn't ready for it at the body shop so might as well knock out these jobs now

is anyone still following this here, or has everyone shifted to the Pirate thread?

Or does anyone care if I update it or not?

Pirate, but I check here too

ok, I just basically copy the post from Pirate and paste it here, so if people want to see, I will keep it updated, but those that follow elsewhere will just get regurgitated posts.

After a New belt and new ac compressor, I was able to actually drive it, but no rear shocks meant right back in the driveway

Had some coilover mounts on the shelf, so added some new axle side shock mounts after gringing off the remainder of the old crap

After the shocks I pulled it out on the street. Holy shit this thing is LOUD.

No place for the plate, so window wins. Still has that lean, but it still has a dana 50 Super Duty axle, and all the remains from the 203.

And all my fords on the street together

After getting the exhaust done, I had AAA take the truck out at my dad's body shop to start working on fixing all that ugly.

List if items that still need to be done:

* 1310 yoke for the front output on the 205
* Build a new rear driveshaft
* Finish welding up the bumper
* solid mount the shifters
* replace the radiator
* redo the wiring to the fuel pump so it is ran off the key and not the toggle switch anymore
* Patch the hole in the floor
* paint inside and out

I think that is it

So I need some opinions...

My radiator is busted, so I need a new one. Its the factory expo Auto radiator out of a v8 expo. Its ****ing huge.

So my debacle is, which of these three do i go with?

1.) Factory Ranger radiator for 01 to fit the radiator support
2.) Replace the expo unit with another expo unit
3.) Go with a cheap aluminum job off Summit or Ebay

What's the dimensions of the factory expo one?

i prefer the summit units

Careful man you may catch the overheating bug from me!!! Ha ha and if you already have the expo one all set up nice in there why not just use another one then you just buy a replacement one from the auto parts store and not go through the ordering process of a aluminium one if it ever needs replaced again

Also that thing looks great kinda like a 70s Ford I had was four different colors
