im doing a sas on my ranger and im gonna lengthen my radius arms. what do u think i should go with hiems or johnny's? i like the fact of the rebuild able factor of the johnny. but if i go johnny what size should i go with i guess judging on what size tubing im going with right? :icon_welder:

johnny joints... they have a bushing to them to help absorb some of the roughness.... and a hiem does not.

use these

or ones similar. trail gear makes a good one, currie, parts mike has some that are good, and so on. but the 2.5" wide w/ the 1.25" thread is the common size for RA's.

okay i really apperciate the help. what i plan on doing is just sliding the d.o.m right over the arm and weld it up but i was just stuck on witch one to get.

I'd go with johnnys from currie. Seeing how currie invented the johnny joint and has a lot more invested into the developement of a better joint, it just seems like the better option. On top of that they have excellent customer service.

either will work... but flex joints (johnny joints) are recommended b/c of the bushing and they are rebuildable.. they cost a little more up front but are worth it in the long run.

if you notice all long arm kits use a version of the flex joint.. there's a reason teraflex or rusty's or whatever brand uses the joint.

if its strictly offroad, a hiem might work.. i'd still use a joint for my personal preference tho.

yeah im gunna deff go with the flex joint for the rebuild ability and grease able and what not.

now that i got that squared away. im doing the eb d44 with 7in coils. now my question is how much should i lengthen them? ive read various post on all different lengths but dont know witch one to go with?
