Has anyone purchased one or know of someone that has purchased one of these for the 3.0 liter V6?

Comments, thoughts, etc. Is the claimed gain reasonably accurate? Does it work as promised? Is there an impact on the warranty? I have purchased a new 2008 3.0 Ranger just waiting for delivery.

I had one on my old '94. It did increase power, not sure by exactly how much though. Easy to install and remove. It just plugs into the back of the ECU. The only thing I didn't care for was the need to run premium fuel. As a DD and commuting it really hit hard since it also was harder to stay out of the skinny pedal.

I think for an OBDII system I would next time look more for a system where I could tune and log to a laptop or unit. There wasn't much that could be done with my OBDI ECU at the time.

Many people have said that a chip is your best bang for your buck when it comes to performance mods and the 3.0. I would recommend looking at the Bamachip as its had great reviews among people here.

It should be listed in the vendor section of TRS.

Thank you both for your replies. I did not know that you need to run 91 octane to get the power increase that Jet claims. For a daily driver premium has gotten pricey.

Is the Bamachip a SCT based tune as I have found on line? Where is the vendor section?
