How much power increase can you get from this on an 4.0 OHV?

I keep looking at the ad, it has the dyno sheet for a 3.0, but I'm curious about the 4.0

Just letting you know, I posted almost the same thread a couple weeks ago.

12HP... thats it? :| slightly dissapointed.

oh well.

well, the thing is, I think the 4.0 motor is pretty well maxed as far as power output goes in its stock form. Unless you change Camshafts, pistons, Cyl. Heads, and shit, thats about as good as your gonna get.

Yeah you can do all kinds of little aftermarket addons and that, but it gets expensive and ultimately will make the motor decently unreliable, obviously more prone to problems. Yeah you'll get some more power out of it, but for the money you spend on all the add-ons vs the power gain... it doesn't equal out very well.

i was sorta comparing to the 3.0 results, but i know for sure that chip doesnt give 43 extra HP to a 3.0.

got curious about the 4.0
