i dont know how much junk yard hopping we are gunna do in 4-5 inches of snow lol

lol around here the junkyards arent ripped up for every good part in a day like other bigger towns
 
YAY snow lol... slo vo you know the forecasters are always wrong about the weather here in our area...id rather it jus be spring time already...and if it doesnt snow and yall go jy my dad may wanna join in if he can and if not dad will tell rick what he needs for that pos chevy that were tryin to get runnin so mom dont ahve to barrow my jeep everyday

is everybody wanting to hit the ones here in town or in evansville? just a few around here evansville has some decent stuff though

Like SVT said, I have a 4" susp. lift & a 3" body lift. I can run 33s with no problem, you don't want anything bigger than that on the stock axles. I am only running 31s until I can get money together for 33s again....

With a 6" suspension lift, you will have more trouble with your drive line angles. If it were me, I would go 4" on the suspension & figure where you want to go from there. That's just my opinion but that is where I would start.

SVT....I spoke with John the other day about upgrading my drive train, front & rear...........If you come across something cheap, let me know or something.

I am putting my other stock rear axle under it tomorrow & getting the tires I got from John on my 15x10 wheels.....supposed to get snow here also & I can't be without my Baby Bronco!! I got one tire mounted today on the rim that was already tireless just to be sure it could be done & to make sure my rim wasn't damaged from rolling on the pavement, it looks good! The other 3 will be done in the morning & then I am going to my dads shop to change out the rear axle!!!

I will have it ready to go again by tomorrow night!!!! :icon_bounceblue::headbang::yahoo:

I really want the 35 front, 8.8 rear upgrades & I am ready for it to happen..........:icon_bounceblue:
 
I'll keep an eye out, but whats your budget besides free?? The more I know what budget I'm workin with the faster I can get you those axles...there is a 4.0L with harness and ECM in the FS right now for $150

I'm interested in that engine....... this 2.9 aint bad but I don't trust it (I hated my old 2.9 it layed down at 275k, ok well the trans went first, but it made me nervous) but if that's what allen sent the PM about, it's all his I'll find another.


I'm saving up my pennies, if you come across a manual t-case and trans, let me know I can find the money somehow.... those two could be tough to find for me.

Just let me know.

BTW: drove the truck home today.... did great, I've been out playing in it, 4wd works great, shifts like a dream dry or with the clutch, and the 2.9 is pretty torquey, oil is clean, and radiator is fair. I'm sattisfied so far.

we need to create a budget for my build, I'm leaning toward the 4in suspension, 2 in body, hack the fenders and do the bumpstops.......... then d-35, 8.8 fully locked.4.56's

should be lots of fun........ and I should have the money inside a month.

My P.M. to Rick was only concerning front & rear axles, I'm not ready to part with the 2.8 (:headbang:) anytime in the near future, so I have no use for the 4.0...:dntknw:

If you can grab up that engine, go for it! :icon_thumby:

I need a rear hatch door latch.... mines missing it only opens from the inside, anybody have one? if ya'll find one on the junkyard crawl... I'll pay you back in a hurry. and also a driverside mirror (the metal bracket triangle kind) I can re-use my old rearview from ranger in the cab.

I wish I had a spare tire mount on the back too... I'm going to be like allen taking up cargo room.

Yeah, that 4.0 would be nice with some straight pipes exiting after the front tires.....

He buddy I can get you a spare tire mount. If you are coming to jon saturday. Say $15, if that a fair price. Or the pull it yard has several, But they have been picked through. Just let me know. I have a latch to but have no Idea how to get it off.
 
I will try to make it to Jons saturday, if his wife gives the ok, we will be welding my rearend sunday in case i have to work late....... cows will die if it snows and we don't take care of them. I'd like to have both the tire-rack and the handle (I've never owned a b2 and have no clue how they come apart, at all....)

how soon would you want a manual case frank , i have one out of an 88(?) BII , its a 1350M , but i comes with the case , shifter/linkage , boot , and front shaft with new U-Joints , plus all the bolts , i just want out of it what i have in it , and i would bring it down with me in march for ya
