Well pretty self explanatory, are the James duff extended radius arms worth the money? To me $750 is allot when I can extend factory ones for $270 ish with Dom tubing and heims all from ruff stuff? Anybody have them any pros or cons

When I first lifted my 97 ranger I just got the drop down brackets for the stock arms with my 6" lift. I used it like that for close to 4 years and always had problems keeping it in alignment and the bushings would wear out way to quick. I ended up breaking down and buying the extended arms about a year ago and it was able to be aligned way better and I have had no problems with them at all. Really glad I did it, but I don't have any input as far as the custom extended ones. Doesn't sound like a bad idea if you're handy with a welder and can build it youself for that price. Good luck with whatever you choose, either way I would suggest extending them in one form or another if you've got a 6" lift. It's worth it.

When we sas'd my buddies bronco we plated the stock ones and added 15" length with a couple of pieces of Dom and some mean Tera joints. It works fine. It was a ton of work, though. He probably had that $200 range in them. We have beat on them and they have held up great. I am building my ranger right now and I chose to buy the duff arms. If I had more time and less money I would consider building a set with 2" dom

I extended my stock arms 12" with 2" x .250-wall DOM, I've got maybe $60 into them (almost entirely just the cost of the DOM tube, as I chose to keep the stock type bushing setup). They've withstood 10 years of some decent wheeling now with no real issues.

Just be sure to box in the backside of at least the driverside arm where it goes around the axle if it's the TTB axle arms you're modifying (initially I just used a gusset inside the arm around the end of the tube and the arm eventually showed a small crack at the edge in that area after about 4 or so years).

If you need more ideas, do a search for Homemade radius arms, Building radius arms, etc., there should be some number of threads here about it. :icon_thumby:

Just got mine James duff radius arms today, great stuff well built. Probably a little over kill, but they are nice.
