it's too bad ford is killing the ranger. I'd love to see this as a factory option....

Shane and you other Mustang lovers may not have seen this new short block. This is really the answer to wanting to run some good boost on them motors. They drop the compression from 11:1 to 9.5:1 and use forged rods and pistons. Think the limit is around 525 hp now with a blower. With this short block, 650 hp ought to be easy to hit. See that the motor mounts and bellhousing patterns are common with the 4.6L. Hint, Hint.

That's gonna be one badass Ranger!:headbang:

Where are they going to put the heater box?:annoyed:

Remind me again; how much horsepower do you have now Dave?

I'm a long way from abandoning my pushrod 302, but this is where I'd like to be someday. I can't imagine this type of power in mine.

I think this is only the tip of the iceberg for this motor. I see even bigger things happening with this.

Need a spot to BS on them Stangs!
Shane, horsepower is what I call enough.
Take a stock cammed and headed 4.6, add the TVS blower, throw gobs of money at them and leave like this.

I really figured those engines would be about 10k more then that. I mean at 6k they are expensive, yet affordable.
Then another 1500 for electronics. I can see using one of these in a hotrod for sure. lol

Just have to convince my wife to let me spend the money. lol

EDIT: Looks like in the second video they switched to an automatic tranny.

V-8power, Do a Google on them part numbers and you can find them cheaper. I like the idea of the self contained electronics package.

550 horse is definitely enough!

I remember saying a while back that 300hp would be enough for me. That was one of two times I've been wrong.

I went into the dealer a couple weeks ago to buy a fuel filter for the Ranger and saw a Roush on the showroom floor. I didn't have enough time salivate on it because I was in a hurry. This thread reminded me I need to go lust after that thing again.
