So, I go out for a smoke break with another student and he walks over to the sunny side of the street...I noticed a pink mustang (yes, pink) in the parking lot and was commenting on it when I then noticed a lime green BII...
I wasn't crazy about the color, but I see the owner sitting in the truck...so I walk over to him and make small talk about Rangers and BIIs...it turns out he has several Rangers and BIIs and is a mechanic...so we talk a bit deeper about mods and whatnot and I notice his doors have the no-draft windows...so I comment that I'd love to get a set of them but all the ones I've seen in the JY are pretty rough...then he says he has a set for sale and I almost started dancing around the parking lot...and his price was about $100 less than the jy...so I might be getting the doors I've wanted after all...even though my doors are in excellent shape (except for the body work I did to hide the wide mirror bolt holes that I wasn't using)...
He gave me some good advice about the problems I've been having (with my carb) and I'm going to try what he suggested (even though I think someone here suggested it about two months ago...)...and he said he doubts that the carb is the problem...whew!
Anyways, I asked if he'd been on TRS and he said he hadn't...I was going to pitch him on it since I thought he'd be a great resource, but he said he wasn't much into computers and that his wife was more into that...then his wife showed up so I had to shove off and let him get out of the place...hopefully he does decide to take the plunge and come on board...
Just thought I'd share it...the world is a smaller place when people have something in common...eh!
