We should convoy, we'll get better fuel economy; especially heading across the plains.

Did the misses make the appointment Brutus?

She could have made her 9am app. if i didn't get stuck.....

She was half hour late to her rescheduled 2pm app. but we made it

Snow here in the NW too!

We got about 4 1/2 Inches on Wednesday, and about 3 1/2 yesterday here in Yakima, Washington. Had to shovel the driveways about 3 times to get to the shop. :shok:

Where the h is my snow?! So far it's only snowed once here and accumulated less than two inches, it was all gone in about a day.

Got the trees cleared off the road early this morning, rammed the snow out of the way with my truck and made it to the main road which was plowed clean.

I was heading back up to pick up my wife for her appointment and slid into a ditch. If I was to slide any further I would have fallen down a huge drop off and the truck would be standing on its bumper.

So now I have to find a way to go pick up a 5ton come along to pull it back onto the road. I'm so frustrated right now

this is why i have a truck with snowmobile mode. dont need it often, but when its needed....its just that...needed. when you head out to lone un-tended roads at 3-4 am to get to work...2wd is a bad idea, and impossible on these types of days...and 4wd can sometimes be worse....unprepared or educated can get you in big trouble as well. at least your smart enough to have chains...a winch would go a long way towards keeping to safely navigable in your yard...

i suggest a dodge minivan, like a 02-05 with a 3.3 engine and snows in the winter if you can only have one car with a family. you would throw that 2wd ranger off a cliff with the way they handle the same situations one to the other back to back..

i will never own a 2wd pick up truck again...the rage from being stuck on flat ground in my yard alone, bout sent me over the edge a few times in my late teens early 20's. extreme hatred of 2wd ever since.

be nice to live somewhere where 2wd would be doable again though...much cheaper. having to miss work or be more then a few minutes late because my machine wont make it is something i personally find unacceptable. for some reason it bothers me to have to rely on the road commission to simply drive down a few feet of powder and some 8 foot drifts..

my yard looks like yours and sasquatches too...but with your wet heavy shitty snow..:annoyed:

8 months preggers:shok:.....prayin for you guys buddy....:icon_thumby:

you really would be better off with my wifes van:icon_surprised:

lol I HATE chrysler products... im a mechanic so i can't help it. if i had money i would buy a 4wd explorer and have a nice tight LSD in the rear.

I do have a 69 F250 with 4wd, but I knew better than to try to navigate such a heavy truck through that crap.

I just had to make do with what I have... today i made it home from work without chains on! Tomorrow im gonna dig out the wifes car and dig a turn around in the parking lot

1-3 inches expected tonight, was told 3-6 inches earlier but it changed. got about a inch now, wind outta the north. morons are out in full-force though, had someone try to cross 4 lanes of traffic-with traffic coming both ways! they stopped right before me, with a car coming towards me that barely got stopped, i had to swerve to not hit the both of them. think i'll start taking the long route home rather than going through the middle of town- it may be safer!

Speakin of snow, since we have had snowpocalyps the freakin moose been coming out of the woods like crazy. These two been hangin behind the shop off and on all week. I call them lunch and dinner.

The bull with the rack was agitated as hell with me, they are stressed out cause the mass deep snow.

if i lived there....i dont think i would go outside without at least a redhawk on my hip.

fawking with a moose is something i would not do:shok:

i can understand dodge hatred. the 3.3 minivans are a class apart though from the junk cars.

for a single vehicle to haul my piglets to and fro...its a no contest hands down proven winner for me.

i have worked on all of the units from everybody...honda ford gm maxda...

the explorer is too small for 5 kids...hell its too small for two kids..but a ttb explorer is certainly a venerable vehicle and a worthY suv as well...and if you want a explorer by all means if it fits it fits:dunno:....

hating junk dodge cars did not ruin my objectivity enough not to try the minivans...and i am way ahead because of it. and thankful as well.

I was standing with the door half opened, i know better. Only reason i took these pics is for folks here to enjoy but yea you just dont go busting out the door here or you may get a face full of moose or grizz.

All we get is freezing rain! :dunno: I opted to take a garage warmed, clean 4wd for a late night store run a while ago, thinking it would be pretty slick with the layer of ice, and snapped these pics as I backed past the poor old Ranger. The little fozen pellets that stuck on top of the ice layer actually provided decent grip. Well, that and the metric TONS of salt IDOT has layed down! No doubt the 1wd Ranger would have been fine, but the poor old girl sure doesn't need to eat more salt than she all ready has, in the past 17 years. :annoyed:
