We are at about 3" and counting this year.

I don't care, a week ago I had the radio cranked, window down with a long sleeved workshirt on. Beats the heck out of chattering teeth waiting for the dang thing to warm up as you chisel the ice off.

Two years ago I was doing half throttle hail mary runs up the driveway in reverse on my tractor trying to bust a way out on Chrismas Day. I would go as far as I could, drop the blade and pull/slide/coast my way back down. Shortly after that I went on the hunt for the chains...

This was before Christmas that year, I know it isn't as bad as Alaska or Siberia or anywhere like that, but we had 3 or 4 storms go through like that... it started out neat but got old after awhile. It never melted in between which turned blading the driveway stragic (especially after the first couple rounds melted a little and refroze so you couldn't move it anymore)

Then we get this crap too:

We need some actual snow. We get some then its 50 the next day and it all melts. havent even had to lock the hub with 1 footer. it SUCKS!

We've had maybe an 1/8" here in Missouri so far this season. I'm pissed every day. I put new tires on my wife's car, and new treadwright wardens on my truck in figuring we may have snow like we have had the last 2 years. Last year and the year before we had a foot or more of snow at a time, more than I have ever seen before............This year, we have had 60 degree days about every other week. Feels like spring but the grass aint growin, so it doesnt make me any money. :icon_confused:

Reckon you better grow the OTHER grass to make some loot then heh heh.:icon_thumby:

So I got my chain fixed and put them on with the tires jacked up so they are even and tight.

Woke up today to 2ft of snow, my wife is 8mo pregnant and has been having problems so being snowed in is not an option for me, she is supposed to goto a doctors appointment tomorrow and I feel powerless because I know its going to be at least a day just to get to the road

My father and law and I spent 6 miserable hours shoveling snow and only got 1/2 way down the driveway.. its a very long driveway. We found out that 2 trees fell over last night and are laying across the driveway, one of the trees is 2ft diameter and the other is made up of several 8-10" branches.

Its going to be at least another 6hrs of shoveling just to reach the trees with my ranger and get them cut up and pulled out of the way, then another couple hours to finally reach the road which I literally don't even know the condition of because the driveway is so long.

I got some pics today, but im going to get more and a video or two tomorrow after all the shoveling is done.

Heres my backyard

Running out of place to put the shit that comes off the deck!

It stopped snowing here now, we got -35*C here now.

Why are you shoveling the deck?

We've had basically spring weather this winter. I'm not complaining. Our trees started budding and I got bit by a mosquito last weekend. It's a little scary, but warm is better than cold. I'll take today's weather year-round.

its been in the 60's here in OK. I want snow. i want snow now!

To the above pics..........Looks like you need a snow blower or a tractor. Or a ton of ice melt.

A good sized tractor too. Mine with chains would get around in it ok without the blade, but I couldn't lift the blade high enough to get it out of the snow... and the snow would be over the front wheels (and it is 2wd) couple that with most rear mounted blades only being a foot or a little better high... it would be a bummer.

I would still try it though, the process probably wouldn't be pretty but I bet I could get it done :icon_twisted:

I would love to build one of these:

Got the trees cleared off the road early this morning, rammed the snow out of the way with my truck and made it to the main road which was plowed clean.

I was heading back up to pick up my wife for her appointment and slid into a ditch. If I was to slide any further I would have fallen down a huge drop off and the truck would be standing on its bumper.

So now I have to find a way to go pick up a 5ton come along to pull it back onto the road. I'm so frustrated right now

DANG! That sounds like an underware change moment. Those pics are pretty amazing though.
