it don't work

i recieved a midland power max model77.250c from a friend who used to be a truck driver it came with a wilson 2000 ant the only problem i have is the end is missing off the ant. and when i got that fixed(had new end soldered on), no output in speakers i was wondering is there a manual somewhere i tried to call midland and they said it was outdated so no books,damn, also no mounting brackets the radio was supoosidly tweeked and peaked and boosted but i don't know how leagl that was if i had a book for it that would be nice like a repair manual or a owners manual.my friend no longer has access to the truck he fell asleep at the wheel and ran over the company owners personal vehicle,oops.any help or information would be appriated.

One or both most likely are the same chassis as yours.

check on the front of the radio and see if you have a switch labeled cb/pa. make sure the switch is in cb mode. you might look on ebay for a mounting bracket and manual also
