i found myself asking that question wednesday morning, when the driver of a focus st rear ended me. No one was hurt, thank jesus, and the only damage to my ranger was the rear bumper brackets got bent back, thank god. but the guys nice focus st was jacked, cause he went under me so his hood and front fascia was completely mangled, airbag didn't go off and windsheild was not cracked. Our insurance is paying for everything so itd all good.

you're the second person this week that got rear ended. glad no one got hurt and there isnt much damage

Glad toy hear you're okay and the truck didn't take too much damage.

I always fear getting rear ended when I'm stopped for a train at a railroad crossing. Now that would suck.

Amen mc,thank the Lord you and the other person is ok,cars and trucks can be fixed or replaced easier than people can :) When I'm waiting on a train I always wonder about a derailment and stop as far back as I can from the train as it goes by.

at least bumper brackets are just 10 bucks away from the junk yard! that guy as to get his car rebuilt due to his negligence!$$$$

I hope I never get rear ended. They would go completly under me and probly put my hitch through the windshield if its hard enough. I already know both fenders and hood will be a loss for them. Glad nobody got hurt.

here are some pics of the damage on my truck

the bumper looks fine, so is it possible to just buy the brackets at a junkyard? or do i have to buy a whole "new" bumper with brackets

Special, lucky no one was hurt.

For some reason almost nobody tailgates me when I'm in my Ranger. When I was in California they gave me a whole lot of extra room, strange. Glad you aren't hurt.

The bumper looks fine to me, I'd just some new brackets.

Those pics show the best possible scenario in a rear end crash. No damage to the tailgate, no damage to the bumper itself, just some bend brackets. There's nothing good about an accident, but what happened to your truck about the best you can hope for.

but is it possible to just buy the brackets at a junkyard? or do i have to buy a whole "new" bumper with brackets, and i wish they damged the tailgate, then insurance would of paid for a new, less rusted though one
