Is this cam too big for a completely stock bottom end and ported heads with upgraded springs?

Depends on what you are doing with it. Sounds a bit big for a daily driver but a street strip setup would probably be happy with it

Its gonna be strictly strip its going in a 302 bored .040 over with stock style pistons and ported and polished e7s.

Also would it work if i shaved the heads .040 to raise compression?
