Is there any difference in dielectric grease for installing a TFI ignition module?

Is the clear 100% silicone dielectric grease, as good as the white dielectric grease for using on a TFI Ford ignition module?

Is the white dielectric grease called dielectric compound, or just dielectric grease, too?

Which of the two mentioned dielectic greases, as mentioned, do you recomend for using on a TFI Ford ignition module?

Or, doesn't it make any difference?

Use the white stuff to keep your TFI cool. Use the clear stuff to keep water out of plugs and such. I've had some success using white lithium grease as a heat sync compound too.

Would the white lithium grease work as well as the white dielectric grease for keeping the TFI Ford ignition module cool?

That would be what heat sync grease is for.

You've got thermal conducting grease confused with dielectric grease.

The stuff for the back of the TFI modules is a thermal conducting grease that is used to aid in the removal of heat from the TFI module. When this stuff breaks down, it can cause the modules to go bad. This is the same stuff that is used on the heat-sinks in computers on processors.

Dielectric grease is used to lube spark plug boots and to stop any leakage of the high voltage energy from the plug boots. It is also useful in sealing up plug contacts like headlights, engine harnesses, etc.

*Edit*...white lithium grease is used to lubricate things, not for thermal conductivity or dielectric use.
