my dog has these crusty spots on his head, ear, and some on his body, where the hair is falling out, its really concerning me and i dont have any money for a vet visit, so i was wondering, if by the off chance someone on here can help me. here are some quick shots i took of him, if someone could tell me what it is and how to treat it i would really appreciate it

my dog chloe gets that sometimes. its usually when i cant get her bathed for a while or if she is left outside for prolonged periods of time. Clean her up, feed her right, it'll go away. Unless its a spider bite, chloe got one of them too, it looks the same and still goes away. By the way, Chloe is Lab/rottie mix. I never saw it onm any of my other dogs. It could also be a version of mange. Only a real vet can say for sure.

just gave him a bath, i'll just say that was an experience, hopefully that will help

My dog had a small spot like that on his ear, went away after a few months. He's also gotten spots that look like that and closer to that size, vet said he was getting stung by a bee. Gave us some benadryl pills to give him and they cleared up in a few days. even without the pills, if its a bee sting then it should clear up on its own anyway.

it very well could be mange. look around online and see if you can find any pics of dogs with mange and compare it.

i dont think that it's mange because he has had it for a while and my other dog hasn't got it yet, idk

Could also be a yeast infection (MALESSEZIA DERMATITIS) , check HERE for instructions on how to identify and treat it.

that sorta sounds like it, but idk, skin grease isn't a factor i dont think

That sucks. That would also mean that you dont have any money to spend on your truck (because the dog would come first, right?).

Could be hereditary mange. My akita got that. It is the harder one to get rid of, but it doesnt spread to other dogs and humans like normal mange. (Had to dip her every two weeks for 12 weeks)

We gave our dog some childrens benadryl to see if maybe it was just an allergy from her food or something. That didnt help. So that could be a way to see if your dog has mange or not.

alright i'll have to try that, ohh btw if this helps, he has had it once before but i was just one spot on the top of his head

looks like hotspots to me....they have stuff specifically for this at tractor supply.

its probly mange, just rub some used motor oil on it and let it say on it, that should work unless its red mange, then you will have to go buy some mange stuff from your local store, it should cost more then 10-15 bucks.
