Is there a difference in sound between two boxes and one two hole box?

Decided to go with speaker boxes in the back since the stock mounting location doesn't look like it'll work at this point. Planning on 6x9s all around since I won't be running a sub. My question is whether there is a difference in sound quality between running two separate boxes or one large box with two holes.

What I'm looking at:

you can make your own for cheaper... buuuuut

if the air space is the same, material and thickness of material is the same, then you shouldn't have any differences?

however since the big box is ported and the smaller ones are sealed (i believe) then there will be a slight sound difference ther ei would have ot guess.

and if one set is ported, bass will be deeper and louder but will not handle as much power and distort more than a sealed box

Not really true.

A ported box will be louder in it's giving range. But you'll be really lucky if a box you buy will fit right. Ported boxes have to be made for the speaker/ or sub. To sound right. And there larger

Car speakers are designed to play in a LARGE sealed enclosure, such as a door or trunk. Throwing them in small enclosures will greatly reduce the low-bass output.

I'll still have the door speakers in the door. I just couldn't come up with a good way to mount the rear speakers in the stock location. My interior from the dash back is stripped to metal, so the speakers would have no enclosure at all if I screwed 'em in there. I guess if it doesn't sound good I can hook up a sub, but wasn't going to worry about it yet.
