If you want to know how much stronger a D35 is than a D28 just go to the parts store and ask to see axle u-joints for each, you'll be amazed on the difference in size
careful driving with 33,s, 2.9 and an auto get by good.
2.9 in itself is a great lil powertrain in its stock configuration...4.0 is just much better.
but they are old and cranky these days, even the pushrod 4.0 are getting beat down...
d35 is worth the effort. period.
wiring a 4.0 can be tricky if your mixing parts from various years...a matched`setup is cake to do.
