is it worth it buying manual lock hubs

i have a 98 ranger with the vacum lock hubs is it worth getting the locking hub kit and switch it even if my 4x4 works fine? or just spend the money on an exhaust system i found these http://store.4wheelingplus.com/proddetail.asp?prod=15001.70&cat=108

if it already works fine, i would go with the exhaust.

ya i guess you should go with the exhaust but my 98 vaccums went so i did the mod to convert to make them manual for free ( http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...r_19982000_Ford_Ranger_Pulse_Vacuum_Hubs.html ). if you do the exhaust just check your hubs often to see if they work because you dont want to get stuck then they give out on you.

Only change them if they go bad, autos are easier whilst they are working!

i believe the old line is: if its not broke, don't fix it.

but it is always good to be prepared, i would scout out a place to buy em (avm are what i put on my 98) so you know right where to get them if the ones on you truck go. also print off the manual hub modification so if they go, you can mod the ones you have to get you by until your manual hubs get to you. that's the no guilt approach to enjoying your new exhaust!

sounds good i mean it works perfectly fine goes right in and out 4wd high and low. Now to find a good exhaust..
