is changing tire size a problem?

I was just asking out of curiosity. I wasn't being a smartass about it.

My stock Wranglers are 245/75/16, roughly 30.5x9.5. The 31x10.5 BFG AT's that came on the Level II's are roughly 265/75/15.

some rangers came factory with 265/75r15s. and the 215 to 235 depends on the aspect ratio. a 215/75r15 is the same size tire as a 235/70r15 just a little wide(by 20mm from bubble of sidewall to bubble of sidewall.) thats what the first number is the width in mm's.

you are forgetting the second number is really important to determine the height of the tire. you could have gone from a 215/75r15 to a 235/75r15 in that case it would be taller

I overlooked the 15" rim part.

yeah i figured bc the 03+ rangers came with 265/75r16. well some of them did.
