Unfortunately there's a lot of not-so-wise to downright liars putting "instructional" videos and information out there these days. I usually try to watch a couple videos if I need to learn something to try and get a feel for who's being honest and who is perhaps not so sharp if I don't find someone that I trust their input. ChrisFix is usually a reliable one and very detailed. A1auto and some other ones do a decent job too, unfortunately not all subjects are covered by the reliable sources so sometimes you have to apply some common sense and/or ask questions to a reliable source like here.Ok. Good to know.
I was also wondering why the guy in the YouTube instructional video uses anti-seize lubricant for this purpose.
Anti-seize would make a mess and it's not a lubricant for making flares. It could be used on the outside of the tube and on the threads of the tube nut to keep that all from seizing together, but you wouldn't want to use it for making the flare because it has powdered metal in it. Pressing powdered metal into a flare sounds like a recipe for problems to me.
