is bellhousing pattern the same?

that being said any windsor bellhousing year should work?

Automatics vary with either 157t and 164t flexplates for the starter location. I do not know if manuals do something similar for bigger clutches on some transmissions or not.

What tranny are you shopping for?

ive got a 74 302 and just picked up a np435 (which came behind a 351M). according to the above i need a windsor bellhousing from an np435

Yup, with the clutch and starter for a 302 of similar year with an NP435.

Ford changed the balance of the 302 around '80 so watch that with the flywheel.

alrt 302, windersor bellhousing, np435. ive got the weight and tooth count flywheel now. welp. the bellhousing is going to be harder to find than anything probably. may be better off just getting a 400 or doing a BB swap
