Went to the local yard today, trying to look for rear leaf springs for my 94 2wd ranger. Will any rear leaf bolt up to my stock rear. I am being told that I need to have the same spring code as what is on my ranger. I dont care if they are stiffer, I just need to drive. Any help please.

same spring code???? any 2wd ranger leaf will work.....or a 4wd leaf if u want it to sit a bit higher and be a bit stiffer

thanks, thats what I thought. It's just dealing with some of these junk yard guys, they like to think they invented the automobile.

Haha.. I know all about that too!

I go in asking what Ranger's they got and all they ask is "What do you need?"

"Well, if you let me know what Rangers you got I can save time by already KNOWING whether I can use anything off of them."

"Sorry, those pickups changed every year."

"Dammit... you just lost my business... " *walk out*

I hate it!

it does get quite old, there "computer" is just plain retarded when it comes to ranger parts lol

The yard closest to me just changed owners about 6 months ago, and it's really much better, but whenever I walk in they ask me what I want. When I say Ranger stuff they go into detail trying to direct me to where they are. I nod and try to tell them I understand or just start walking off that way... I'm pretty sure I know the yard better than they do....

Haha yeah...

It's like they start telling you where it's at and you say you're going straight to the 6th row back 3rd pickup over.

You also say it's a maroon '96 with a four cylinder w/ no transmission, both doors gone, the bed is the only good sheet metal on it and you're going to only get a few interior trim pieces that you know are just chilling in the passenger floorboard because you KNEW you were coming back for them.

Thanks guys, but I know this yard kinda well...
