i believe they'll give you a refurbished phone for like 150 or somehting like that, out of warranty, with the trade in of your old phone

if the phone is 2 years old, that's a stupid choice... since he can upgrade and do the contract price for a iPhone 4 for 199 i think.

That would be the iPhone 4S now for $199. The iPhone 4 is like $99 for an 8GB version.

yeah i never figured it out either.. i've disabled my spotlight search page! hated that thing to.... that multitask bar is annoying.. but i live w/ it.

Still on os4. Heard some not too good things about the os5 upgrade, so I'm a bit leery to do it and screw up my phone.

The BEST way to disable multitasking on iOS 4.x is to use Springtomize found in Cydia.

The BEST way to disable multitasking on iOS 5.x is to use Springtomize 2, also found in Cydia.

I just ordered a battery off eBay for $9, it looks same exact as the oem piece down to every detail. But is probably Chinese junk... We'll see.

I just changed it on my hood in harbor freights parking lot as they were the only one that I could find a #000 Philips screwdriver. So far so good.

Sorry if I'm reviving an old thread but I just got a 3GS a month ago (for $40, hehehe) and present you with my current home and lock screens that consists of AndroidLoader and some blank icons courtesy of iBlank. The text on the lock screen was changed by LabelSlide. Running iOS 5.0.1 with redsn0w jailbreak, iPad 6.15.00 baseband and ultrasn0w unlock. On the T-Mobile network.

On another note, any of you guys know of a good app that you can use to log gas mileage? That would be really cool to have.
