I heard of a Saab getting hit by lightning once. It didn't catch on fire, and the body was very repairable, but insurance totalled it because it totally fried about every sensor, computer, and module in the car and it would've cost thousands to fix it all.

Hmmmmm....isn't there a way to MAKE that happen? Like driving a metal stake into the pavement and grounding the frame to the stake...

I've never seen lightning even close to a vehicle before...it always strikes the highest point...unless, of course, there is a grounded item closeby...but, then again, I live in God's country...LOL!
