Interior question for the experts!

The 02 FX4 came with a handle attached to the passenger side A-Pillar, the 02 XLT did not. Does anyone know if the attach points are there on the A-Pillar frame of the XLT so that I could pull one from a Pick and Pull FX4?

Take the panel off the side that you have one on. See those 2 raised mounting points? Now take the other side off that you don't have one. If those same mounting points are there you're good to go. If not you'll have to fab some.

I don't have one on either side and was hoping someone could let me know without having to pull the trim. But thanks for the well informed response! I'll take it into consideration.

im sure the mounting points are there, but the o sh!t handle is probably part of the fx4 package for some reason or another my bet is that they are there you just have to cut out holes in the trim and find a handle, as for them being there on the drivers side, its doubtful.

Don't need them on the drivers side, the wife rarely drives LOL. I was hoping that someone could respond that has actually looked at the passenger side A-Pillar and would know if the mounting points are on all rangers of that year model. If so I could pickup the A-Pillar Trim and handle at the pick and pull.

If not, I could have nitrofanone make me some custom mounts.

oh okay, i thought you were lookn in to puttn a handle on the drivers side aswell, but i have not looked at the a pillar but id bet money they were there on the passanger side. sorry i havent looked at one, but if i remember correctly its takes all of like 2 screws and some tabs to peel it back and check at least in mine. sorry i couldnt have been of more help.

that's wierd, i have oh sh!t bars on both sides on my 04 xlt. there's probably generic mounting holes in all the pillars that they just covered up in models without the handles, though. and the covers arent hard to take off, if you do need to check them out.
