I am thinking about messing around with the interior of my truck like the colors and stuff so i threw this photoshop together and wanted to see what you guys thought.

before

Interior Idea.

after

Interior Idea.

i am not quite happy with how i think it would look, but i like it much better than stock. lemme know what you think. I was thinking of reverseing the color scheme but i dont know. The blue i want would be the color of the ford emblem.

also, what are the chances of being able to update the interior? any newer interior pieces that fit nicely or with some elbow grease?

Thanks guys

is that the 92 or 94? 93-97 door panels are interchangable and I have some newer ones in my 94 that look really nice. BTW i personally don't dig that blue you've got going there, too cartoony for me you know. edit- I see the 92 is the ranger and the mirror kinda gave it away. im not sure if any of the interior is interchangeable with the newer trucks. but anything is possible with a little fabrication! :)

I like the color...may not turn out exactly as shown though...

ur probably right about that, but when does anything work out completely right?

as far as being too cartoony, i can see how it looks that way. I just dont like the washed out blue color and i dont want to go all black like everyone and their cousin so i am trying different combos.

anyone done an interior swap from a 94-97 to a 91-92? or 97-present for that matter. haha.

I still have my old panels in the garage I could go take a picture of the back side if you want to see weather you could mount it or not. but im pretty sure the doors are a different shape and the handles are deffenitely different.

Not sure about that particular color, but otherwise looks awesome.

HELL YES! that would look great IMO. I would probably even do the middle upper section of the steering wheel.(airbag cover)

I think it would need to be a slightly darker blue, but it looks very nice.

P.S. I laughed at your third option for the poll.

I agree with 97BlackBetty good look needs a little darker of a color though

i hate painted interior panels. sure they look good for about a month before the paint begins to wear and flake off....then it just looks like every 16y/o kids civic. i vote no.

My interior is grey, and I painted all the black panels except the guage cluster housing to match my truck. It's lasted 4 1/2 years and 100k, with no scratches and no wear marks. I vote yes....

thanks guys. something that is funny to me though is the comment that it will fade and flke off, my interior i getting to be pretty faded anyways, so it wouldnt make to much of a dif to me, maybe on a newer vehicle though. anyone know of a clear coat or something that may prevent fading though?

I put about 3 coats of paint on, and probably 5-6 coats of clear. Clearcoat isn't a maybe, it's definite....

definantly dont like THAT blue but if you find a nice blue that goes good with the outside of your truck then i would go for it.

also i think you should look into some seat covers and try to get those colors close too.
