So...I was at my local scrap yard today with a friend of mine. I was searching the lot for rangers and b-series so that I could hopefully find a trailer hitch. Well, while walking around, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. An SHO. Instinctively, I walked over to investigate...all the while my friend was in the background saying "you know they took that sh!t (referring to the engine). Upon further investigation, it was still there. Engine, 5 speed tranny, EVERYTHING! Now...at this same bone yard, a few weeks ago another friend of mine purchased a V-8 out of a Q45 for around $75. That's right...seventy five. I'm toying with the thought of going back out there tomorrow and pulling the engine and tranny out of this car. Just wanted to see if y'all think it is worth my time? All I gotta say is...the person who sent this car to the bone yard obviously didn't know what he or she had.

V6...i don't think i have ever seen any of the V8's. at least not in my neck of the woods. if it was a V8...my post would have been different. more to the tune of "looky at what i got!"......lol

Check it out good first... it could have been junked because it blew up and was too expensive to repair.

it looked clean to me and my friend...but i know that looks can be deceiving. i wish i could remember if it had body damage one it....i guess i'll just have to go check it out again tomorrow.

If it's the Yamaha 3.0L from the early 90s era, I wonder if it needs different head gaskets for a RWD application like the regular Vulcan 3.0L does??? :fie:

In any event, is the vehicle in a condition where it might turner over if given a jump?
