Doing an intake manifold gasket replacement, I noticed small puddle of coolant on top of the engine block. I need a little lesson in 2.9 Liter 101. Is this normal? I'm learning as I go, so please bear with me. Thanks

This is what it looks like...

Totally normal when you pull an intake for a little to come out of the passages and get in there. Also could have been leaking in there to begin with. I'm assuming that's why you're doing the intake gaskets in the first place?

Thanks for the reply. Actually it all started with a clutch change. I noticed the back of the engine block was oily, so I decided to change the intake manifold gasket as it looked like it was leaking from that area. Since the tranny's pulled I changed out the rear main seal as well. I was hoping that little bit of coolant wasn't another project waiting to be done!
