which ones do it get?????????????????? this is retarded!!!

the oriely links dont show the gaskets, but the autopartswarehouse link shows one of the gaskets required. thats the actuall intake gasket but youll need a gasket kit becuase you have to remover the upper intake, thermostat and the lower intake so all those gaskets need replaced. when i did the intake on my 93 a couple years ago i bought an intake gasket kit and it came with all the gaskets i needed. im trying to remember if the valve covers need to come off, i think they did, so you will need those gaskets as well. i got my gasket kit from NAPA.

EDIT: this is the kit i purchased. http://www.napaautoparts.com/Search...05T_0147275975&An=599001+101993+50028+2028044

Valve cover gaskets, upper, and lower intake gaskets. Injector o-rings if fuel injected. You may need the thermostat gasket as well.

An intake gasket kit should have everything you need, except maybe valve cover gaskets.

OEM Ford gaskets only, in the OHV 4.0

It's the only way to go, unless you like coolant, vacuum, and oil leaks. And plan to get really good at taking the intake on and off.

Also the torque specs and pattern are very important on this intake, very important.

when i did my 99 i only used new manifold gaskets, and valvecover gaskets. I did use the rubber ones, much better then the cork. I didnt remove the thermostat or fuel injectors, i removed the tstat hose and just unhooked the injectors and lifted out as an assembly. Dont go by haynes manual for torque sequence, start in the middle and torque out in a spiral pattern. Good luck

thanks for the tips guys! i dont want to spend money on good gaskets cause i need to get the rockers/pushrods done, so this would all end up coming apart again, but of course i dont have the money for all of that right now.

the gaskets are so bad though, im losing coolant, my gas mileage has dropped from 20 to 15 mpg overall, not to mention no performance either, i can smell coolant under the hood when its still warm, and exhaust under the hood when its running to. jesus im ready to swap a sohc already!
