I thought it would be different to put bench seats in my 2001 extended cab.. I need help finding the right bench seats I don't care what they come from as long as I can find small short bench seats for the front and back. I hate the little fold up back seats. I cut the arm rest off the driver seat and made it a bucket but I'm bored of that I want some bench seats. Not a lot of leg room with a full truck of people in an extended cab so think small, and I can always modify as well.. Please any ideas?

Get an extended cab F series...

A first/second gen bench will fit in place of the front buckets, but you have to work on the seat tracks some. Haven't done it myself so I cant tell you exactly how to do it. For the rear a bench would pretty much make the back useless, and I have no clue what would fit.

I don't think you'll even have room to put them in. Older trucks like 80's F-150's have bench seats you could probably get from a scrap yard, but most likely you'd have to do some custom fabrication to get them to work.

I think i have the factory bench out of my 94' in the garage, if you want it ill go check tomorrow. Im in acton so I could meet you in palmdale or lancaster depending on what my next few days look like

That's kinda what I'm looking for is a couple of old bench seats my dad had an old chevy with those green like leather bench seats in them and I remember the back of that truck being small... Wish he still had it and I know some older SS's have small bench seats as well...

I plan to pull out the back seats take the plastics out the back you know the crap that covers the bottle jack and all that.. And cut away any extra metal that doesn't need to be there then push back a bench seat as far back as I can for the back... This is why it be best to find small "backseat" type beeches for the front and back... It's a bit of a long shot and I know it'll be a hunt but I figured it be fun to try

LOL "Beeches" typo points +7.
But like I said, just go to a junkyard, and just look around.

I know know I saw the typo but I was like nah i will still post... Going to a junkyard tomorrow.. If I can't find what I'm looking for I'm customizing them myself

If you are still thinking about it the 93 dodge Dakota extended cab has a sweet bench seat in it. It's like a 60/40 split with a center seat that has the fold down arm rest. The good thing though when the arm rest is folded down it gives you access to the rear. The tracks would have to be modified but hey it wouldn't be any fun if it just bolted in. I am looking to do the same thing in my 91 ranger super cab, but I can care less if the rear is useless because I don't have anyone small enough to get back there and if I do anything back there I will just put a system back there.

Check out an Mazda Supercab pickup, the ones made by Mazda. Those had rear seats that folded towards the front
