installing a lift?

im new to this site, ive done some research and i cant really find a write up on how to install a lift on the ttb. ive got a 94 ranger with a 4 inch on it and i just bought a 6 inch. i got the early f150 coil cups for an extra 2" lift lol but anyways do i just jack up the truck, put jack stands under the frame and drop the coils, the brackets and install the new ones? easier said then done i bet. well any tips and hits would be great. PS this site rocks compared to other ranger sites

That's basically it. If for some reason you don't have the installation instructions for your kit, there are some downloads here in the Tech Library for instructions to various kits that should give you some idea of what's involved (and of course you should be able to down the instructions from the manufacturers sites too).


If you haven't already, be sure to also get Skyjacker's pt# FA600 drop pitman arm, as the one from your 4" lift (as well as the one that normally comes with a 6" lift) won't work well at 6" lift. They are too short and don't align the steering linkage real well.

well i got the lift on yesterday, it was actually really easy and straight forward. the hardest thing for me was taking off the old brake lines lol im not sure want kind of lift it is. but i do know i know to get the longer pitman arm, get it alignment done, and fab up some longer radius arms.
