So I just bought a 1995 Mazda B4000 SE With the Premium Audio system. However I want to put my Kenwood KDCx995 Stero in the truck. Now the power side of things I have no issues, its the sound side. Ive tried two different types of harness one From Best Buy which was one of those easy 123 wire kits, Second was from Ebay which instead of wiring for the speakers has AV Cables like a Subwoofer but still no sound. I plug the old radio in from the factory sound plays no issues.
Of course yesterday I was messing with it trying to get it to work and now with the stock radio in it doesn't have any power no, but the lights come on when you turn the headlights on (dash lights). Probably blew a fuse or something. Anyway any help is appreciated thanks!

Sounds kinda like the amp blew. And by amp I mean the "Premium Sound System" amp. I'd look up where it's at and just remove it and run bypass wiring if it did. Most head units these days have a decent built in amp anyway.

Alright, but why would the stock stero play music if the amp is blown?

I bought my premium sound harness at walmart. Wired it into the radio plug and it was just plug and play.

Right i bought a premium sound system harness at bestbuy wired it all up no sound, bought another harness with av cables instead of wires still no sound.

I was basing that solely on this line. I take it the stock radio is working correctly now?

Another thought: There are two ways to setup the radio with the premium sound system. You can use it or bypass it. Both done with connectors. (Three ways if you count running new speaker wires directly from the radio connector to the speakers.)

It might help people if they could see what parts you have. Can you take a picture or a link to what you ordered/bought?
