Im sure this has been out there, its just been awhile. Lookin for larger injectors for my 98 2.5 to hopefully get a little more power.

That's not how injectors work.

You will also need to make the intake flow better as well as the exhaust in order to take advantage of bigger injectors. Maybe cam too. The engine is a system and if you change one part then other parts need to change too to keep a balanced system.

Just as an FYI

You get more power from any engine with more AIR......................not fuel

If you add more fuel you get a FLOODED engine, not more power

A 5 liter engine has more power than a 3 liter engine because it can use 2 more liters of air

If you turbo or super charge a 3 liter engine you are forcing more AIR into the engine not more fuel

But because you have more AIR you can then add more fuel, so more energy can be released

More AIR = More power

Bigger injectors just means the computer will compensate by shortening the pulse width. Aka no added power. It will maintain the stoshieometric fuel ratio. unless as Ron pointed out, you increase the amount of air it can take in, but even then the stock injectors will still work. The computer will just lengthen the pulse width. you'd have to seriously increase air flow via boost for the stock injectors to be unable to keep up.

Check your door sticker (or axle tag) for the rear end ratio, gears will give you alot more seat of the pants kick then bolt on type engine mods (unless youre talking forced induction)

An inline 8 is cooler than a 5.0 though.... bout time a ranger got a fireball engine!!!!

Is that a man or a woman? :icon_confused:

Dude definitely looks kinda like a lady.
