wiring looks good
could ecm have bad driver how can test
thx all really like this truck 250000 miles on her:taunt:

If you switched injectors and #5 is still sticking open, then it's either the injector driver is shorted or another possibility is the grounding wire to the injector from the PCM is shorting in the harness.

thx bird its way im looking cant see any shorts in wire if i get ford to flash it will it save emc or should i look 4 new 1 thx again

This isn't a text messaging system. Use whole words.

Flashing will not fix a burned out power transistor, nor will it fix a short elsewhere.

In addition to what Mike said - how did you verify the wiring between the injector and the PCM is good - did you open up the wiring harness? What other testing did you do on it?

injectors

you guys are great
thank you 4 all help
did not open harness will if weather permits
grey black wire if correct
do have problem with tail lights blowing fuse
injector wire looks good in haress
will trace wire to ecm not that far
will ohm test help
think we are down to short thanks to you guys
any orther clues
trace wire tomarrow
thank you again

The harness is set up to always provide 12 v to the injector and the PCM triggers a ground on the black wire to fire the injector. Get an ohm meter and measure the resistance between the injector plug- black wire to ground - if good, it should not show a short. If it shows a short, then unplug the harness from the PCM and recheck like you did before - if still a short, the problem is in the harness - if the short goes away, then it's a bad injector driver in the PCM.

Cross check by testing other injector wires to verify the readings you get on the bad one.
