Hey everyone,
Im new to the forum but i have got alot of good advice by searching older threads. My current issue is with my 1995 Ranger, 4.0L OHV, auto, 4X4. I have a no start issue because it is flooding itself. I know i'm getting spark because its almost fires but there is just too much fuel. Tonight i purchased a set of noid lights and connected them to cylinders 1 and 2 and they are both flashing at the same time while cranking. I was thinking this was causing the flooding issue. I have replaced the cam position sensor and also the cam position sensor plug on the harness. Could the PCM be in "limp" mode and not fire the injectors at the right time and dumping too much fuel, because of a bad wire or possible bad PCM???? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

First thing to do is to pull one or more spark plugs and see if they are indeed SOAKED with fuel and are unable to fire because of too much fuel!
Lack of start is almost NEVER from too much fuel in these engines! I'd suspect not ENOUGH fuel first.

Thanks for the reply, yes every plug is soaked and there is fuel in the crankcase oil.
