The only way your going to make V8 like power is with a t3/t4 setup. But you can always do intake, exhaust, ECU, and lower gearing. I swapped 4.10's into my Ranger and it really woke it up!
The 2.3/2.5 responds to the same modifications as any reciprocating 4-stroke engine. The only way to make more power is to efficiently get in/out more air/fuel.
Yeah, the 2.5 is basically the 2.3 with a longer stroke. look for a t3/t4 hybrid turbo kit, or a turbo from a turbo Tbird or Stang', should be able to come across one pretty cheap, including the ECU.
i found a t3/t4 kit for it on ebay.
now is there anything else i need and i can i install all this myself?
me having almost no experience with engines.
and also wat kind of gains should i expect to get out of this?
I'd suggest, if you haven't done so already, taking a read through THIS forum. Also, there are quite a few other forums on the WWW covering the subject as well.
It's not a horrendously difficult job but, you should really learn as much about it as you can before attempting it, or even putting out much money towards that end. Especially given your lack of experience. (no slight intended)
