My 87 STX has been a challenge from the start but I keep whittlin' at it.

Had a 4 inch lift kit with the 4 inch dropdown pitman arm and as most know, bump steer was an intense problem. During all my labors the truck got new balljoints and that really made the situation worse.

I didn't want to spend $240 for a 6 inch drop pitman arm and spent two months looking everywhere to find one priced somewhere near reasonable. So much for that idea. Reasonable price is not used in the same sentence as 6 inch dropdown.

I gave up. I shelled out the $240 while improper thoughts were leveled at the manufacturer of said part.

It did cure the bump steer. Truck is almost civilized to drive now. I can even relax a bit since I no longer suddenly change lanes when I least expect it.

I'm pleased with the results. And I detest the price gouging.

If you can get a hold of the superrunner kit from super lift it is worth the $500... and it's not just masking the problem, it actually fixes it.
