Thanks a lot. Even my local ford dealer couldn't or wouldn't help appreciate the info. I'm off to go get the Mitsubishi. Got a great deal from a pick&pull wrecking yard, $80. (half off this weekend) thanks again.

The dealership deals with new cars. It is actually quite uncommon to find someone in a dealership that will know part interchange info like that on a 30+ year old vehicle. They electronic records won't show that either because they only show a direct cross, not modability.
